What is Amputee Rehabilitation ?

Amputation is the procedure where a necrotic or severely injured limb is separated from the body of an individual. The process will be followed by the placement of a prosthetic limb. Amputation rehabilitation is the series of physiotherapy exercises and procedures to see to it the prosthetic limb restores the functions of an anatomical limb and works well with the rest of the body. Amputee rehabilitation is done in nine phases starting from pre-operative assessment, surgery, post-surgical procedures, and prosthetic assessment to prosthetic prescription, training, rehabilitation, and follow-up. Different amputee rehabilitation procedures will be followed for different limb rehabilitation based on the patient’s normal functionality.

Arthritis Treatment

Simply put, arthritis is the inflammation of body joints. The joints swell up as an aftereffect of an injury, due to hereditary problems, due to auto-immune interactions, or due to allergens. Arthritis is a common and progressive condition in many individuals no matter the age. The condition makes the joint painful, weak, sensitive to function, and sometimes leads to damage of the underlying cartilage and tissue. There are different types of arthritis based on their action and etiology.

Chronic Airways Treatment

Chronic Airway disease or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is an inflammatory disease affecting the lungs and its associated structures, resulting in obstructed airflow from the lungs. The disease is seen in people who work in areas with toxic fumes, smokers, and people suffering from severe infections or allergens or in people with genetic prevalence.

Kinesiology and Kinetic Link Training

Kinesiology involves the use of a specific tape to relieve pain and facilitate lymph drainage, whereas kinetic link training is a biomechanics concept used to describe the movements of a human body. Simply put, the kinetic link is the movements produced in one joint as a result of the movements from another joint. This training is not only used in muscle-skeleton coordination but also sports therapy and neurological therapy.
