What is Auditory Habilitation and Auditory Rehabilitation ?

Auditory habilitation is performed to assess, diagnose and identify problems such as hearing loss and impaired hearing. Exercises to communicate well with children who have not yet developed proper hearing and speaking abilities come under habilitation. Auditory rehabilitation is the group of procedures put in motion to regain hearing ability or to improve normal communication to whichever extent possible in children and adults who are aurally impaired. Hearing aids, cochlear implants, frequency modulating systems, sign language practice, treatment of ear defects, and more followed by regular hearing exercises come under rehabilitation.

Voice – Vocal tone and issue

Voice is produced by the vibration of vocal cords. When these vocal cords do not vibrate properly, vocal tone issues like a difference in the pitch, volume, tone, depth, and other qualities of voice occur. The abnormal vocal cord vibrations may be due to the growth of extra tissue near the vocal cords, inflammation, irritation, infection or pathologies, hormonal imbalances vocal overuse, or misuse.

In cluttering, the patients usually do not intend to say some words making the whole speech disorganized exile in stuttering, the patient is aware of what they want to say but just cannot say it smoothly.
