What is Kinesiology and Kinetic Link Training ?

Kinesiology involves the use of a specific tape to relieve pain and facilitate lymph drainage, whereas kinetic link training is a biomechanics concept used to describe the movements of a human body. Simply put, the kinetic link is the movements produced in one joint as a result of the movements from another joint. This training is not only used in muscle-skeleton coordination but also sports therapy and neurological therapy. The kinetic link or chain is of two types – open and closed. In an open kinetic chain, distal or terminal segments of the link can move freely while in a closed kinetic chain, there is a resistance to these terminal segments.

Arthritis Treatment

Simply put, arthritis is the inflammation of body joints. The joints swell up as an aftereffect of an injury, due to hereditary problems, due to auto-immune interactions, or due to allergens. Arthritis is a common and progressive condition in many individuals no matter the age. The condition makes the joint painful, weak, sensitive to function, and sometimes leads to damage of the underlying cartilage and tissue. There are different types of arthritis based on their action and etiology.

TENS

Transcutaneous Electrical Stimulation or TENS, is a non-invasive physiotherapy method of pain relief where mild electrical current is passed to the affected nerve endings and pain managed. This is the choice of treatment in patients suffering from post-traumatic pain, lower rib or back pain, arthritis, head and neck pain, nerve neuralgias, jaw pain, facial muscle pain, peripheral nerve injuries and more. The low-frequency electric currents are passed through skin surface electrodes.

Massage and Lymphatic drainage

Also known as manual lymphatic drainage massage, it is the procedure where light pressure is applied on your limbs or extremities to flush out the accumulated lymph. Lymph is that body fluid which does not contain red blood cells but helps to carry water to tissues and clear waste from the body. Massage directed towards the lymph nodes helps de-coagulate the lymphatic system.
