What is Laparoscopic surgery

It is a minimally invasive, modern technology-based surgery that helps a surgery visualize and operate on the insides of a patient’s abdomen without having to make huge incisions or cuts. A small tube with a camera attached to its end is passed through a puncture and the internal organs are visualized through a video monitor attached. Due to its procedure, it is also known as a ‘key-hole’ surgery. Laparoscopy is used in many fields from gynecology to gastroenterology and urology. It gives the patients a quick and more precise treatment while reducing their hospital time and post-operative complications.

What is Trauma surgery

Trauma surgery is the interventional, open surgical procedure done to treat injuries, fractures,
burns, ulcers, herniation, crush injuries, and more in an acute setting using both operative and non-
operative management techniques. The injuries can be due to heavy impact forces, road traffic
accidents, falls or object crushes, sports injuries, and more. Trauma surgery also has knowledge of
the adjacent musculoskeletal structures and vital structures like nerves and arteries because
whenever an injury occurs, it is most likely to involve one or the other adjacent structures. The
injuries may be life-threatening too. Trauma surgeons are trained in immediate and complete
management of the injury.

Breast
surgery

Breast surgery or a mastectomy is the most sought surgical procedure for breast cancer. In the surgery, all of the affected breast tissues are removed including some of the adjacent tissues to prevent the reoccurrence of cancer. It can either be single or double, based on the prevalence of the cancer cells.

Vascular
surgery

Vascular surgery is an umbrella term for surgical procedures involving arteries and the lymphatic system. Disorders like atherosclerosis, aneurysms, carotid artery disease, ischemia, venous insufficiency, poor peripheral return of blood, lymphedema, and more can be treated by performing vascular surgeries.
