What is it?
It is defined as a familial disease characterized by frequent, recurring attacks of headaches, differing in severity and frequency that are mostly restricted to one side and can sometimes cause nausea, vomiting and dizziness. The types of migraine are common (migraine with/without aura) and complex based on the structures involved and the severity. Professionally put, migraine occurs due to hyper-excitability of nervous system. Migraine episodes may be triggered due to irregular sleep patterns, hormonal changes, physical exertion, bright lights and/or heavy sounds.
