What is it?
It is the condition where the bones become so weak and brittle that even slight pressure and stress can cause fractures. It is mostly seen in older individuals whose bone density has decreased by time or in people with chronic infections and syndrome diseases effecting the bone. Bone mass is decreased and the bone becomes hollowed than normal. Hormonal imbalances can also be a cause as thyroid and sex hormones play a huge role in the calcium absorption and new bone formation of an individual.
