What is it?
It is the pain effecting the lower back, glutes and hips and outer parts of the leg due to compression of the spinal nerve root present in the lower back region. The condition typically affects one side of the body and is commonly due to an underlying herniated disc, bone spur or stenosis. The condition may resolve on its own in a month or two but the underlying problem will be left unattended and can cause pain again in the future. The effected leg is inflamed, slightly swollen and numb to stimulation.
