Aphasia

It is the inability to produce speech completely due to a brain injury or head and neck trauma. In some conditions of brain damage resulting in stroke may leave the patient with speech problems like aphasia. There are 3 kinds of Aphasia based on the severity and its effect. They are – Broca’s aphasia, Wernicke’s aphasia and global aphasia.

The speech or communication disorders that arise as a result of age related cognitive function loss. Cognitive disruption causes many problems like memory loss, concentration/attention span loss, disorientation, impaired judgment and loss of self-executive functions.

Stuttering

Stuttering is the speech disorder where one cannot get certain syllables or words out of their mouth on the first try. They usually have to repeat the same syllable or the word a number of times before they can finally get it out. They do know what they want to speak though. Stuttering can be continuous or partial. The stutters may only come at a moment of anxiousness or fear.
